These two old workmates met again at the Triumph works at Canley, Coventry to celebrate their total of 100 years service to the firm.
George Hodgson, aged 66 (left) and Les Rogers, now 65, both received £50 in Premium Bonds from the firm for 50 years’ service each.
The two men joined the then Standard Motor Company in the 1920s when the Canley works was out in the fields. George, of Rough Close Cottage, Tanners Lane, Berkswell, retired from his job as a tester last year, but Les, of 39, Overslade Crescent. Coundon, Coventry, is still working as a foreman.
