Smiles from Mr. Arthur Sherratt, his wife and daughter after his investiture by the Queen at Buckingham Palace. 
Mr Sherratt, who is Works Engineer, Canley, of The Standard Motor Co. Ltd., was awarded the M.B.E. (Civil Division) in the New Year’s Honours List.
Mr Sherratt has played an important part in the introduction of automatic transfer equipment to Canley, and has created considerable interest among industrialists with his introduction of a system of progressive maintenance for the works.
