GEORGE ARNOTT, a fitter with 24 years’ broken service retired from Herald Trim & Finish, recently. George worked at Banner Lane as a machinist for 12 years. 
He then moved to Fletch. South, Banner Lane again, and Radford before joining at Canley as a fitter in Herald Trim Shop in 1957. Foreman T. Mallier presented a retirement gift of money from the shop and thanked him for his work.
KEEN GARDENER
George and his wife will still live at 20 Hen Lane, Coventry. He is a keen gardener and specialises in roses and and vegetables. The couple have married sons and daughters in Coventry and there are several grandchildren.
