Laughing Harry George was a storekeeper in Spares Stores, Fletch South for 21 years.
Harry was very popular with his workmates and had always been a happy and amusing personality.
Harry’s retirement date was the same day as his 65th birthday, and a large crowd had gathered at his presentation to hear Harry’s jokes for one last time.
One behalf of Spares employees, Joe Tierney, chairman of the Spares shop stewards, presented a wallet containing money. Harry intends to keep busy at his Nuneaton home.
