“I worked in the Home Sales at Canley. I started in 1960. My boss was Mr Rushworth and my under boss was Mr Russell. I was there when the Triumph Herald was built and sold. We sold the cars to the distributers. “
“The wages were very good we got merit rises every year. I worked with Jean, Muriel, Francis, Mary, Mavis, etc. I started straight from school I had to make the tea and collect the stationary, then did some typing. They took us on trips. One we went to Oxford first to Blenhiem Palace then the Randoph Hotel, then down the river, we went to a field for a barbeque. We went in Standard Vanquard cars. We were a great team.”
