“I worked in Overseas Manufacturing at Torrington Ave at the time. I was made redundant plus two other secretaries I worked for Bill Worrall and the others. They kept the office junior on. I remember Bill giving me a lift home, we were both crying. I had worked at Standard since I was 15. I got another job straight away before I left and married and moved away. My name was Margaret Lenihan. One of the other girls returned to work for Leyland for less money. About 3 months later. ”
