Following the recent article on the Standard Motor’s built Mosquito – one has been found!Warren Denholm, has been in touch from New Zealand…
Warren says, “I was reading the above article and it occurred to me that you may be able to help identify a Mosquito I recently saw here in New Zealand.”
“Only a small section of the fuselage exists and it is very rotten. Inside I was able to photograph a modification label that indicates that it was a Standard built machine with a serial number that looks like 1543.”
Warren, Managing Director of AV Specs, Warbird Restoration, clearly knows his Wooden Wonders – and it’s great to hear of this survivor (albeit in such poor condition) with a direct link to the Standard Motor’s factory.
