This photo dated immediately post war shows a victorious Rugby Team.
The winners are presented with the cup by Alfred Edwards (left), To the left we can see Jock Brown – later to become the Department Head at the London Service Depot, Western Avenue.
We couldn’t be sure of the team – until we really enlarged the photo. We initially looked to see if we could read any of the text on the silverware and noticed this Standard Emblem on the captain’s shorts. It certain looks like a Union Jack and Standard above with Coventry below!
