This picture shows the departure by boat train from Waterloo Station of Sir John Black, Managing Director of The Standard Motor Company Ltd., who sailed recently from Southampton on R.M.S. Alcantara for South America.
Sir John, who will be away for approximately six weeks, is accompanied by Mr. W. J. R. Warren, General Sales Manager and Mr. M. Whitfield, Repairs Manager. They were accompanied as far as Southampton by Lady Black, Mrs. Warren and Mrs. Whitfield also seen in the photograph.
